Every download is logged: who did it, when and how many rows they took. It's what data protection asks for with a bulk extraction, and what lets you know what happened if one day you need to.
If the service is paused, both downloads keep working. Leaving with what's yours doesn't depend on being up to date with payments.

- With the service paused, downloads remain available.
The day you switch software
The clinic decides to move to another system. It downloads the patient list and the calendar one afternoon, imports them into the new one and doesn't lose a single scheduled session. Nobody had to ask for anything by email or wait for it to be sent.
