What to expect from an AI assistant in physiotherapy in the first month

Updated 2026-07-17 · 2 min read

Knowing what to expect each week is what makes the first month pay off. This is what really happens, week by week.

Days 1 to 3: giving information

From the first message it answers opening hours, prices and which treatments the clinic offers. It's what carries the most volume and needs the least judgement, so it's the first thing you notice.

It's also when the details get fine-tuned: an old price, a treatment you no longer do, opening hours that changed for the summer. They're corrected in the dashboard in a minute.

Week 1: booking

The first sessions come in on their own. This is where you see whether the durations you wrote are the real ones: if a first assessment takes fifty minutes and you put thirty, the calendar gets out of step on the first day and it needs fixing.

Weeks 2 and 3: confirming and filling

Reminders asking for confirmation start going out, and with them the first new figure: how many people don't confirm. It's usually a surprise. The waiting list starts filling cancellations without anyone calling.

Month 1: packs and out-of-hours

At the end of the month there are two numbers that didn't exist before: how many sessions were booked outside the clinic's opening hours, and how many packs were sitting idle without anyone knowing. They're the two that decide whether this is worth it.

What really changes

Everything that already reaches you is handled better, and what used to be lost comes back: evening requests, unfilled cancellations and idle packs. And whoever finds the clinic on their own —in a search engine, on the listing, by recommendation— gets a reply and an appointment at any hour.

Questions clinics ask

How long does it take to get it working? The same day. Connecting WhatsApp takes two minutes; setting up the treatments with their real times, a good half hour well spent.

Do patients need to be told? There's no need to announce it. The assistant introduces itself as the clinic's digital assistant in the first message.

What gets corrected most at the start? Treatment durations. Almost nobody has them written down as they really are.
